So I’ve been procrastinating on doing this for the past 10 months… not anymore!
Partly inspired by the affiliate site challenge [link here] to get off my ass.
I’ve committed to doing monthly (at least) updates on my affiliate site progress and documenting my journey to $10k/month.
First things first. This is a rather large goal to reach so we will have to break this down and set some milestones. You can’t get to $10k/month without first reaching $5k/month, $2k/month, $1k/month, $100/month and so on.
Our first order of business is to determine (rough estimate) what it will take to get to $100/month.
I’m a big believer in process-based goals. What do we have to do to get the outcome ($100/m) we want?
-
- Publish 15 articles (with an avg. word count of 1500 per article) or ~ 22,500 words
- 15 articles is a good sample-size to determine what’s working and what’s not
- Questions: Where will I find the writers (since this is my weakest skill)?
- Friends, College clubs, past co-workers, family, UpWork, etc.
- Buy an aged site through auction domains
- We want to achieve the goal in the most efficient and in the shortest time-frame. I don’t want to be in the sandbox [link here] period for 6 months so I’ll look for an aged site with quality backlinks to smartcut the process.
- Publish 15 articles (with an avg. word count of 1500 per article) or ~ 22,500 words
That’s it for now. Next update will be in 2-4 weeks.
Cheers
